Operations & Service Coordinator – Security / Fire Alarm Company
Location: Norwalk, CT
Compensation: $50,000 – $60,000 + performance bonus

About Us
Weltē Electronic Systems is a growing electronic security and fire alarm company serving residential and commercial clients. We specialize in alarm systems, video surveillance, access control, and fire alarm systems.
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations & Service Coordinator to take control of scheduling, job setup, and customer coordination so the owner can focus on growth.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Scheduling installation and service calls for technicians
- Managing daily technician routes and adjusting schedules in real time
- Preparing contracts, job files, and ensuring all paperwork is complete
- Coordinating permits (when required)
- Creating and sending deposit invoices
- Communicating with customers (scheduling, updates, follow-ups)
- Tracking job progress to ensure jobs stay on schedule
- Ordering parts and maintaining basic inventory levels
- Scheduling annual inspections and recurring services
What Success Looks Like
- Technicians start every day with a clear schedule
- Jobs are properly set up before technicians arrive
- Customers are informed and not calling for updates
- Deposits are invoiced immediately after sale
- No jobs fall through the cracks
Requirements
- 2–5 years experience in scheduling, dispatch, or operations (alarm, HVAC, electrical, or similar preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking ability
- Ability to manage multiple moving parts without dropping details
- Comfortable speaking with customers and technicians
- Proficient with computers and software systems

Bonus If You Have
- Experience in the alarm/security industry
- Experience with scheduling/dispatch software
- Basic understanding of low-voltage systems

Prior to founding Welte Electronic Systems, Ted was a sales and service engineer for various stereo and test measurement manufacturers, including the Grundig Radio Company. Ted Welte holds an L-5 license, and has an engineering degree in electro and communications technology.
Our President, Paul Welte, has designed, installed and serviced projects beginning in 1995. Prior to joining Welte Electronic Systems, Paul spent ten years working in the financial services industry working in various capacities with hedge funds, brokerages, and investment banks. Paul has led projects ranging from voice systems, data networking, and needs analysis.
